Summary
?This monograph analyzes current cultural resource management, archeological heritage management, and exhibitionary practices and policies in the People's Republic of China. Academic researchers, preservationists, and other interested parties face a range of challenges for the preservation of the material past as rapid economic and social changes continue in China. On the one hand, state-supported development policies often threaten and in some cases lead to the destruction of archeological and cultural sites. Yet state cultural policies also encourage the cultivation of precisely such sites as tourism development resources. This monograph aims to bring the concepts of world heritage sites, national tourism policies, ethnic tourism, and museum display together for a general cultural heritage audience. It focuses on a central issue: the tensions between a wide range of interest groups: cultural anthropologists and archeologists, tourism officials, heritage proponents, economic development proponents, a new class of private rich with the means to buy artifacts, and a fragmented regulatory system. Behind all of them lies the political role of heritage in China, also addressed in this monograph.

Summary
The author of this book is the original proponent of China's exchange rate system reform announced in 2005. This book discusses : The transitional, medium-term and long-term designs of the reform; China's achievements and mistakes on the reform; China's banking reform and its lessons to other emerging economies; Maintaining a certain trade surplus as a dynamically optimal choice for China; China's stock market bubble and the gradual bubble squeezing strategy; China's property inflation and its solution; China's fiscal and monetary policies during and after the global financial tsunami; Risk of global asset inflation, CPI inflation and cycle of exchange rate after the financial tsunami; Likelihood of an asset bubble and then a crisis in economies outside the US during the overheated phase of the recovery. Through these discussions, the author hopes to share his knowledge on macroeconomic policy management accumulated over the past thirty five years. In particular, he would like to share his insights on macroeconomic policy management before, during and after an asset inflation era or a crisis period. He would also like to warn policy makers and financial investors on the likelihood of an asset bubble and then a crisis in economies outside the US. The author hopes this book could eventually stimulate the emergence of "macroeconomic policy management" as a new and important discipline in economics. While the focus of the book is on macroeconomic policy management, it also offers important lessons and strategies on share and property investments. Thus, economists, policy makers, central bank officials, economics students, business and finance professionals, individual investors and academia in other disciplines will find the book useful.

Summary
In recent years, China has taken a number of effective measures to strengthen the supervision of food quality and safety, but food safety incidents still occur sometimes. The recurrence and intractability of such incidents suggest that, in addition to the imperfect supervision system, the greatest obstacle to China's food quality safety management is that China's "farm to fork" food supply chain has too many stages, the members on the supply chain have not formed a stable strategic and cooperative relation, and on the other hand, during the transitional period, some practitioners lack social r.

Summary
Innovation is widely recognized as a major source of modern productivity growth. Indeed, it is seen as constituting a central process of economic advancement in industrialized countries. Despite this, a considerable gap still exists in knowledge and technological capability between industrialized countries and the more dynamic developing countries such as China. Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are a major contributor to China's economy and SME's contribution to China's GDP is close to 60%. This book studies the strategy and mechanism of leveraging innovation capability in China's SMEs by applying the theory of Total Innovation Management (TIM), which is the new paradigm of managing innovation in enterprises developed by the Research Center for "Innovation and Development" (shortly RCID) of Zhejiang University, China. According to Eric von Hippel, MIT, RCID is the Top 10 Innovation Management research institutes in the world. Leverage Innovation Capability probes the strategy and mechanism of leverage for innovation capability in the firm, especially in China's SMEs. It analyzes how the SMEs utilize all the innovation elements in the firm, including strategy innovation, tech innovation, marketing innovation, organization innovation, culture innovation, innovation networking, learning and knowledge management, high involvement innovation, cooperation innovation, etc. to leverage innovation capability.
