Author travelled 12,000 kilometres in France visiting and occasionally working in a wide variety of restaurants. During her travels she sampled food in every three star restaurant in France. The book recounts her journey and contains both details of the food which she consumed and her numerous experiences as a tourist.

Barbara Ross is the author of the Maine Clambake Mysteries and the Jane Darrowfield Mysteries. Her books have been nominated for multiple Agatha Awards for Best Contemporary Novel and have won the Maine Literary Award for Crime Fiction.
