Therefore, the most important question to every business should be: "what do my customers value the most?". This isn't always easy to answer, but when you do, you will know which areas to focus on, and crucially, where to add value. Many of your customers will pay more money for a premium product. In fact, if you get your added value (i.e. "experience") right, customers will even pay

Many of the world's islands are dependent on tourism as their main source of income. It is therefore imperative that these destinations are managed for long-term viability. The natural appeal of a destination is typically one of its main tourism related assets, yet the natural environment is also the feature most directly threatened by potential overexploitation. Sustainable Tourism in Island Destinations builds on existing literature in the subject by providing innovative discussions and practical management structures through the use of the authors' various island project work. Summary
Faced with increased complexity and competitive intensity, firms have had to revisit their business positioning and adopt more impactful and differentiated business strategies. This constant demand for innovation, business model redesign and compelling marketing strategies have forced managers to pay closer attention to customer value and how they can create it, measure it and capture it. For the past few years, marketing and management scholars have placed customer value as one of their top research priorities. Given that most managers in firms create their own social construction of value and that the subject remains largely unexplored, we proposed a special call for paper to further explore this concept from an organizational and managerial perspective. This project aimed at developing knowledge for inquiry in three domains of customer value research: value creation, value assessment, and value capture. This E-book presents nine academic papers reviewing and discussing the three domains of value management. We hope to bring additional knowledge and to trigger additional research interests in this emerging field.

Summary
Of the many varieties of date palms, the species Phoenix dactylifera Linn. is cultivated extensively and traded and consumed worldwide. Dates: Production, Processing, Food, and Medicinal Values draws from a broad spectrum of contributors to present a comprehensive survey of this particular species. The book explores a range of essential facets of what many consider to be a wonder plant-from its cultivation to its potential for medicinal purposes. Divided into four parts, the book begins by examining cultural practices and their implications for date quality. The contributors discuss tissue culture studies, farm water management, mechanization approaches in pollination and harvesting operations, and marketing aspects. The second section focuses on postharvest operations such as drying and explores alternatives for methyl bromide fumigation and value-added products. It also reviews biofuel production from by-products and discusses the issue of waste generated from industry. The third part of the book highlights the physical, chemical, and structural characteristics of dates. It reviews fermentative products that use dates as substrate, discusses the fruits as a substitute for added sugar in food, and explores date palm feeding to livestock. The final section discusses the possibilities for nutritional and medicinal use and reviews the use of dates in indigenous medicine. Exploring essential properties and agricultural implications, this volume is a reliable resource for understanding the many aspects of the Phoenix dactylifera Linn.
