His dishes and recipes have been featured in the Wall Street Journal , USA Today , and internationally when he was a food editor for the National Examiner (online edition). He lives and works in Tucson, Santa Fe, and San Francisco.

Booklist Review

No doubt, author and chef Edwards (The American Table, 2017) knows his Southwestern foodstuffs, offering his version usually Santa Fe- and Tucson-style for both familiar and novel dishes. He emphasizes recipes that are easy to emulate; each of the 200-plus recipes features numbered step-by-step directions, with frequently added notes for alternate uses, TLC, techniques, and the like. All good, and even better with the accompanying, full-color photos. Dividing his book into the categories pantry, kitchen, oven, and cantina, Edwards lavishes the most prose on entrées and breads/desserts. He also touches on each dish's origins, ingredients, and preparation notes. Some of the mix-and-match choices (many dishes, by the way, depend on pantry items as ingredients): root-beer ribs, Baja BLT salad, cactus pear sorbet, and a Mexican bulldog (tequila, Kahlua, cola, and cream).
