Summary
Religion and spirituality are common motivations for travel, with many major tourist destinations having developed largely as a result of their connections to sacred people, places and events. Describing practical applications, models and case studies, this book provides an insight into the management of religious tourism, covering both ancient sacred sites and emerging destinations. It fully explores the pressures on sacred spaces to become commercialised and festivalised arenas, while still maintaining their religious and spiritual integrity.

Summary
The purpose of this e-book is to provide a backdrop to tourism challenges and solutions in the Niagara Region, and to present the key points discussed during the 2007 WHATT roundtable discussion in the Niagara Region, Canada. The rationale for the e-book is that the private sector and academia must work together in identifying the root causes for key problems and then find practical solutions. Often it is the public sector that leads this process, but it was felt that the private sector and academia should become proactive in finding practical solutions.

Summary
A new model of tourism has recently emerged out of a widening concern for the morality of tourist experience. Known variously as 'ecotourism', 'new tourism', etc., huge claims are made for it in terms of what it might offer in promoting national tourism development. Yet what does it mean to be an international tourist encountering the cultural, political and economic particularities of the South African experience? The authors explore the realities of this new morality of tourism in four tourist areas of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa: the Greater St. Lucia Wetland Park; the Phinda Resource Reserve; Kosi Bay; and the Durban beachfront. For the first time they try to locate the international tourist within the moral maze of tourism in the new South Africa.
