Kooringa Guest House was built in 1916 as a guest house in Marysville, Victoria. A 1930s advertisement for the resort boasted of its unequalled cuisine, and a glance at these menus from a guest's weeklong stay in the autumn of 1936 certainly shows an enormous choice of dishes - dominated by roast meats. The roneo reproduced menus are each individually decorated with native drawings on various themes. Sadly, like many others, Kooringa Guest House was destroyed during the Black Saturday bushfires in February 2009.
