There are many forces that impact on where tourist?s choice for their holidays, some have an immediate effect and others the effects are not so significant. In this excellent program we investigate the global forces taxonomy and see how it categorizes the factors affecting global tourism into three layers, the outer layer examining geographical, environmental and climatic factors, the middle layer examining demographic and socio-cultural factors and the inner layer political, economic and technological factors. Each layer creates challenges and opportunities for tourism destinations and we discuss these with tourism experts.
